My name is Patrick Tyers and I decided to start a charity Santa run in 2021 to raise some money for Glenfield Breast Care Centre and Leicester Royal Oncology Department. In 2021, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and received excellent treatment at Glenfield and the Oncology Department. We decided we wanted to raise money as a thank you. Since then I have been looking at different locations within Coalville that we can bring small events too. As Hugglescote Grange is a new housing development this opens tremendous opportunities to bring a new event to the area

It was important to me that everyone could get involved in the run despite what fitness level you are at. This included adults, children, dogs, wheelchairs and pushchairs. Entrants have the option to walk too. I wanted it to have a real family feeling.

Hugglescote Grange 5k is supported by Running For It, a small RunTogether run group that supports new runners and runners that want to return to running.
